Dear MPVA Parents,

Happy October! As we settle into the rhythm of the school year, we hope this email finds you and your children thriving in their classes and activities.  As your PTO Co-Presidents, we want to again remind you of these important safety rules when dropping your child off and picking them up.

Safety First: As school is now in full swing and we're all rushing to various events, we kindly ask for your cooperation in ensuring the safety of our students and staff:

1. Please be mindful of your surroundings when dropping off and picking up your children.
2. Obey all traffic rules, including posted no-parking signs and cones.
3. Refrain from using cell phones in the school zone.
4. Do not make U-turns in front of the school.
5. Please do not drop off your children in the teachers' parking lot.

Your adherence to these guidelines is crucial for maintaining a safe environment for everyone.

Supporting Our Arts Programs: To continue providing exciting opportunities in our art areas, we need your support. If you haven't already done so, please consider contributing to your child's magnet program (we're looking at you Creative Writing, Dance and Mariachi Parents). Please note the following:

• Band, Orchestra, and Theatre each have their own Booster Clubs. Please contact them directly for support options.
• For all other art areas, you can make your contribution through the PTO website.

Your financial support is vital in enhancing the educational experience and creative opportunities for our students.

HSPVA Friends' Middle School Workshops are open! These workshops provide opportunities for students grades 6-8 to participate in classes in Creative Writing, Dance, Instrumental and Vocal Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts.

The workshops are divided by art area and taught by Kinder HSPVA students. While participation has no effect on a student’s application to Kinder HSPVA, each workshop is an excellent educational opportunity and a unique introduction to the specific art areas.
