Dear Greyhound Families,
Welcome to Our First Full Week on the Regular Schedule!
This week marks the official start of our regular school calendar. Here’s a quick reminder of the weekly schedule:
- Purple Days – Monday & Thursday
- Gray Days – Tuesday & Friday
- Greyhound Day – Wednesday
While our students will gradually adjust to this routine, we know it can take a bit longer for parents to keep it all straight—so we’re here to support you too!
Schedules:
As we begin week three, we’re hopeful that all student schedules are now finalized. The administrative team has been working diligently to resolve any lingering issues. If your child’s schedule is still not correct, please reach out to both your Dean and the Magnet Coordinator for assistance. If your child receives special education services, be sure to include their Case Manager in the communication.
Traffic:
There’s a survey posted on the MPVA Community Facebook page about afternoon pickup traffic. Please take a moment to complete it and share any thoughts or concerns you may have. I visited campus on Friday, the 21st, and noticed significant improvement—but I’d love to hear about your personal experience too.
PTO Needs You!
We have a major volunteer opportunity available for the School Store. This role involves some organization and attention to detail, but it’s not time-consuming. The store already has a great system in place, and we’ll provide training and support. If you’ve ever wanted to get involved, this is a wonderful way to start!
The PTO is always here to help and support your involvement.
If you’d like to get involved, please don’t hesitate to reach out: president@mpvapto.com
Thanks again for being part of our school community!
