Dear Greyhound Families,
We’ve made it through our first six weeks, and I hope everyone is settling into the school year! PTO is off to a strong start with plans for teacher appreciation, student incentives, and the Greyhound Store. These activities succeed because of volunteers like you—our school truly needs and welcomes your help. Please consider lending your time to make this year great for our students and teachers!

☕ Coffee with the Principal is Tuesday!
Join Mr. Mitchell on September 30, 2025, at 9:00 AM in the Library for some great conversation and (of course) coffee!
💙 Only ONE more week and then we launch… We Are Meyerland Campaign!
Our main fall fundraiser, the We Are MPVA (WAM) campaign, will run from October 6–31 with a goal of $30,000 (though we’re hoping to blow that out of the water!).
Funds raised support:
- Educational supplies and subscriptions
- Specialized magnet program needs
- Beautification efforts
- Teacher and student appreciation and incentives
- …and everything in between!
👏 October is National Principal Appreciation Month—a time to celebrate the dedication and leadership of school principals in shaping positive learning environments and supporting student success. This month, we are excited to honor our very own Mr. Mitchell. Share your ideas to help us show our appreciation!
