Hello Greyhounds! The next couple of weeks are shaping up to be full of fun and activity — here’s what’s coming up!

🗓️ Wednesday, November 13 – PTO General Meeting

Join us in the Library at 6:30 PM for our final PTO General Meeting of the year! Enjoy holiday snacks, festive vibes, and a chance to mingle and get to know other MPVA families. We can’t wait to see you there!

🎒 Thursday, November 14 – School Tours

MPVA will host School Tours for prospective families, and we still need a few more volunteers! Don’t worry — we’ve got maps and scripts ready to go, and you can even shadow one of our seasoned tour guides. It’s a great way to meet new parents and share what makes MPVA special.

🎭 Thursday Evening – MPVA Showcase

We’re looking for PTO volunteers from 4:30–6:15 PM to staff our PTO table, greet families, and help guide visitors around the school. Performances begin at 6:30 PM — you won’t want to miss it!

🥫 MPVA Food Drive

The Counseling Department is leading this year’s Food Drive, and we’d love your support! Donation bins are located at each grade-level entrance. Every item helps make a difference for families in need this season.

💜 Breakfast and lunch for teachers during prep and the first week of school, and treats throughout the first couple of months.

💜 Supporting a summer admin retreat and teacher retreat for professional development and team building 

💜 Teacher grants: supplies for animation class, subscription for math program support, HoCo Photo Booth 

💜 Collection of some magnet fees and purchase of supplies:

Art: supplies for Dia De Los Muertos projects, sketchbooks, art supply packages

Broadcast: video and photo cameras, backdrop

Choir: music binders, clinician/accompanist fees, pre-concert meal

Piano: music theory books, headphones, classroom supplies

Dance: Fundraising support for fall fundraiser

Creative Writing: planning support for student workshops 

💜 Student incentives for Greyhound Store and honor roll, Kona Ice, free dress, and 8th grade planning and packages including yearbook, dance, field trip, and end of year fun events
