SUBJECT: Meyerland PVA PTO Newsletter (January 25, 2026)

January 25, 2026

Dear Greyhound Families,

We know there are many things on parents’ minds, and we hope you’ll take a moment to join us for conversation and connection.

. Coffee with the Principal!

Please join Mr. Mitchell for Coffee with the Principal on Tuesday, February 3rd at 9:00 a.m. in the Library. This will be a great opportunity to ask questions, share thoughts, and stay informed.

We will follow up with a General PTO Meeting on Wednesday, February 11th at 6:30 p.m., also in the Library.

During these meetings, Mr. Mitchell will be discussing the new Uniform Policy and sharing plans for its implementation.

⭐ Thank you Magnet Tour Volunteers!

We are welcoming 50 prospective families on each date, January 222nd and January 27th. We still need you to help us share who we are and what makes our community so special. This is such an important opportunity to showcase the spirit of our school—and we can’t do it without you. Even volunteering for a short time makes a big difference!

Important Information
Class of 2026

8th Grade Parents,

As we head into the final semester of middle school, we can hardly believe how quickly the year is moving! If you haven’t had a chance yet, it’s not too late to take care of your 8th grade fees. Every contribution helps us finish the year strong and make these final months memorable for our students.

As we move into the spring semester, please be on the lookout for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Parents interested in volunteering should ensure they are VIPS approved(https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/NjcyOmVuLVVT), as this will be required to participate. Taking care of this now will help things run smoothly as events approach.

Personalized yearbook ads purchased through Jostens(https://www.jostens.com) are only available for a limited time. Families who are interested should be sure to check their personal email for details and deadlines so they don’t miss this opportunity. If you have any questions, please contact Jostens directly at 800-358-0800.

If you previously set up automatic payments in MTK, please be sure to stop any recurring payments to avoid being charged beyond your intended amount.

If any family is in need of financial assistance or has concerns regarding fees, please don’t hesitate to reach out by emailing President@mpvapto.com. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.

Lastly, be sure to mark your calendar for February 2nd, when all things “Class of 2026” will be released. More details and exciting information are coming your way!

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

8th Grade Planning Committee
