Spring Technology Fundraiser

On your mark, get set, GO!

The MPVA Greyhound Grade Pie Race is off to a great start, with 8th grade in an early lead! This one-week race will end at 9pm Thursday March 5th. Each grade level - 6th, 7th, and 8th - is competing to see who raises the most money for student technology.

Once we have a winning grade level, the MPVA PTO will run a random lottery of students in that grade who participated and 15 student representatives will be selected to pie some awesome volunteer teachers during A, B, and C lunches on Friday, March 6th

Our goal is to create some friendly competition and have a lot of fun raising $20,000 to invest in updated technology - we hope to replace outdated and damaged Chromebooks, build a small reserve for new students and emergencies, and purchase SmartBoards for the SPED and music departments.

Click the link, donate to your grade level, name your child and their lunch period, and share with friends and family!

Important Information
Class of 2026

8th Grade Parents,

As we head into the final semester of middle school, we can hardly believe how quickly the year is moving! If you haven’t had a chance yet, it’s not too late to take care of your 8th grade fees. Every contribution helps us finish the year strong and make these final months memorable for our students.

As we move into the spring semester, please be on the lookout for upcoming volunteer opportunities. Parents interested in volunteering should ensure they are VIPS approved(https://apps.raptortech.com/Apply/NjcyOmVuLVVT), as this will be required to participate. Taking care of this now will help things run smoothly as events approach.

Personalized yearbook ads purchased through Jostens(https://www.jostens.com) are only available for a limited time. Families who are interested should be sure to check their personal email for details and deadlines so they don’t miss this opportunity. If you have any questions, please contact Jostens directly at 800-358-0800.

If you previously set up automatic payments in MTK, please be sure to stop any recurring payments to avoid being charged beyond your intended amount.

If any family is in need of financial assistance or has concerns regarding fees, please don’t hesitate to reach out by emailing 8thgradechair@mpvapto.com. All inquiries will be handled confidentially.

Lastly, be sure to mark your calendar for February 2nd, when all things “Class of 2026” will be released. More details and exciting information are coming your way!

Thank you for your continued support.

Warm regards,

8th Grade Planning Committee
